Kindle Daily Deal for The Darkness After

For those of you who are not yet subscribers to my newsletter and therefore have not heard the news, I have just confirmed that The Darkness After has been featured by Amazon today (September 23) as a Kindle Daily Deal. This means the Kindle Edition of the book will be on sale for $1.99 for a 24-hour period ending at approximately midnight PDT. Since this book was published by Ulysses Press in 2013, the regular list price is set at $6.99 and I have no control over if or when it it might be discounted this much again.This is not the first time one or more of my ebooks have been discounted to this price point, but it is the first time one has been chosen for a Kindle Daily Deal. The Kindle Daily deal is kind of a huge deal because books featured there are heavily promoted by Amazon, giving them much more visibility to new readers than normal. It it typical for books featured in this deal to quickly climb in sales rank, and I'll be watching to see how far it goes, particularly since this is book one of an ongoing series. Book II, Into the River Lands is available now and Book III is in the works to be released around the end of the year. If you do not have the Kindle Edition of this book already, now is a great time to snag it for a buck ninety-nine or give it as a gift to a friend or relative:
