Available Next Month: THE PULSE: A Novel of Surviving the Collapse of the Grid
My first work of fiction will be available in July, as soon as the first print run ordered by the publisher reaches the various distribution channels. Some of you have no doubt already seen the cover image, as it has been posted on Amazon for a few weeks and can be pre-ordered there both in the print and Kindle editions. If you haven't seen it there, here's a look at the front and back covers:Since a good part of the action in the story takes place in the swamps of south Mississippi, my editors selected one of the photos I sent them for the cover image. This was taken not too far from where most of the action near the end of the story winds up, but those of you familiar with the swamps and rivers of the Deep South know that similar scenes can be found throughout the region. The first part of the story for one of the main characters takes place among the islands of the Caribbean, another of my favorite parts of the world. The opening scene in fact, is aboard a sailing vessel on passage between Martinique and St. Thomas. You can use the "Look Inside This Book" feature on Amazon to read the beginning now. Just click on the link above to go to that page.Check back for more here soon, as I plan to post some background information about the story and some events and experiences in my own life that led me to write it.
